What is urinary incontinence? How many types are there?

Urinary Incontinence is a condition in which the body is unable to control the flow of urine normally. It is divided into 4 main types:

  1. Stress incontinence is a condition in which urine leaks out involuntarily when pressure in the abdominal cavity increases, such as from coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects, or exercising. The main cause is weakness in the pelvic floor muscles and the tissues surrounding the urethra, which prevent the urethra from closing properly when pressure increases.
  2. Urge Incontinence is a condition in which you feel a sudden and intense urge to urinate and cannot hold it in. You may leak urine before you reach the bathroom. This is caused by abnormal contractions or over-sensitivity to stimuli in the bladder muscles.
  3. Mixed Incontinence is a condition เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา that combines the symptoms of stress incontinence and urge incontinence. Symptoms of urgency to urinate may occur when coughing, sneezing, or exertion, along with the sudden urge to urinate.
  4. Overflow Incontinence is a condition in which the bladder is unable to completely empty its bladder, resulting in urine remaining and leaking out without the patient knowing. It is often caused by decreased bladder muscle function or an obstruction in the urinary tract.
